Editing...

 Today is Wednesday and we are almost at the end. Today I decided to edit my music video. I used Imovie to edit my video. I hate to put all of the clips together and make them flow along with the music. The hard part was matching up my singing in the visual clips with the audio clips. It became quite hard but it just took time. My video was almost two minutes long so I had to find a way to get it back down. I needed to get it under a minute and a half for it to be acceptable. I cut clips shorter and made them flow better together. I then had to go back match up the visual singing again and again until it was just right. This took a very long time and the editing process became very tedious. I still have some finishing touches to add. These include the transitions between scenes and clips. The transitions have to be just right. They cannot be took long or jump and they have to fade just right to be pleasing to the eye. I am very pleased with how better my editing has got. I have definitely improved significantly and I am very proud of that. This production is so much better and the edits are more seem less. I have gotten better also at the audio aspects and how I used different shots to portray a message. This editing will really change the aspects of all my videos to come. I have one little part left to do and I can’t wait til it is complete.

 Hello again!!! Today is Monday and I am back for the first production blog of this project and I am very excited that I have completed my filming of the opening scene. This scene has begun by setting the tone for the horror film which will unfold scene by scene. With each passing day my momentum of filming gains traction and I am starting to get into a groove. With my opening scene I filmed it in my girlfriends room and played with lighting and other factors. I did not want it to be too bright as that would give too much of an energetic vibe and that is not the tone of the film at all. Instead of turning on the celing lights I used a lamp as it was moodier and not as in your face. Another tactic that I used was to add props to give a further meaning to the character in the film. My girlfriend has done an amazing job being the actor so far and I really enjoy being the filmer. Closing Time...

 Hello again, today is March 9th, and I am almost at the end of this project. My movie has really shaped up since the last blog which was my start to the editing process. I got some input from some fellow students and how their productions have turned out. And mine may not be the best but I am still happy with how it has turned out. This production from start to finish took over a month because Junior year has been really hard and I have been trying to juggle SAT and ACT prep while keeping up with my grades and all my other work / tests. It gets very busy. For this project, just like all my other productions, I used my iPhone to film. Using an iPhone is just so simple and easy. It has an integrated camera that shoots in 4k quality and to edit all I have to do is select the clips and transfer them. It is extremely simple and the most convenient way to do this.
