      My product that I produced in the project sent a very specific message. It regards social groups because it is a Christmas song. A lot of joy and festivity comes along with the whole Christmas theme. Many viewers or listeners can relate because they celebrate Christmas. The overall  conventions and code in this music video is to effectively spread the Christmas spirit and spread joy to viewers. It is also a correlation of a love song as the lyrics correlate so. In the commercial they use many actors to feel the sense of inclusion which goes along with the sense of warmth because of the comfy clothes. The Santa hats and the antlers give the feel of Christmas along with the festive decorations on the stairs and such. The props add to the experience and enhance the music video in a good way.      This music video shows ethos because Ariana Grande is a famous musician and entertainer.      This was my second major project that I worked on. Looking back on this production and re-watching it, I can see many aspects that could be improved or changed. I am still no professional and I continue to improve my production skills day by day. I am proud of this production, it shows how I have progressed in a sense with my production skills. I have set a goal to improve all my next productions and make it substantially better each time.

       Today is Friday the 16th, and we are almost at the end of this project. My Music video has really shaped up since the last blog. I got some input from some fellow students and how their music videos have turned out. This production from start to finish took over a month because of thanksgiving break and the holiday season. It gets very busy and hard to work collectively with people on a project. For this project, Just like the last production, I used my iPhone to film. Using an iPhone is just so simple and easy. It has an integrated camera that shoots in 4k quality and to edit all I have to do is select the clips and transfer them. It is extremely simple and the most convenient way to do this. I have covered a lot of content regarding this production. I don't have much more to cover there is just a few things. Coming up I have many exams as the semester is concluding which puts a lot of stress on myself. I am quite pleased with myself though because I did not wait until the

 Today is Wednesday and we are almost at the end. Today I decided to edit my music video. I used Imovie to edit my video. I hate to put all of the clips together and make them flow along with the music. The hard part was matching up my singing in the visual clips with the audio clips. It became quite hard but it just took time. My video was almost two minutes long so I had to find a way to get it back down. I needed to get it under a minute and a half for it to be acceptable. I cut clips shorter and made them flow better together. I then had to go back match up the visual singing again and again until it was just right. This took a very long time and the editing process became very tedious. I still have some finishing touches to add. These include the transitions between scenes and clips. The transitions have to be just right. They cannot be took long or jump and they have to fade just right to be pleasing to the eye. I am very pleased with how better my editing has got.     I am back again. Today is Monday and in yesterdays blog I talked about my filming on Saturday and Friday and the in's and outs about how it went. But just like everything there can be issues and complications to things. There were some setbacks that I had to overcome in the middle of my filming. The first set back came at the very begging of my filming. It had to do with the audio of the video. Because it is a music video there is more than always singing done within the video. This can be hard though because with every shot and take you have to match up the audio with the singing in the visuals. I had to use the video I was using as an example to get the shots to match up with the music and the singing. Another problem that I ran  into was how many takes it took to get this right. I would have to go back and refilm it over and over. This got very tedious and time consuming after awhile. One other issue that I had was lighting. It was either too dark or too bright and putting t

     Hi!! Today is Sunday and all of my filming is complete. The last two days which would be Friday and Saturday I went about filming my music video. On Friday I filmed at my girlfriends house. I had one of my friends be the filmer and me and my girlfriend were the actors in the video.  I was able to get about 15 good clips that could be usable for my video. I used props that I had readily available. I did not have a huge budget for this project so I could not go out and buy a bunch of props, costumes, or accessories. The consumes that I used for this production included pajama pants, hoodie, and a long-sleeved crop top. The props that I used included Santa headbands and Santa hats. After filming on Friday I also filmed on Saturday to get any additional clips that I may need. I filled the gaps with any clips that I did miss and didn't get the chance to film. Some things got overlooked as I was in a time crunch because I had dinner on Friday night. So I went back through and made s

       Hello again!!! Today is Tuesday and I am back for another production blog and I am waiting and waiting to film. I am extremely eager and I can't wait to one up my last production which was the commercial. I have been brain storming over and over in my head to jot down ideas about how I can go about filming this music video. I plan to film this weekend as it is pretty much the first free time I have had to be able to film with my other actors and filmer since before thanksgiving. Life had been slammed with school and it has been extremely stressful. I plan to film first on Friday at my girlfriends house and get all the shots I need from her room. Her room is girly and it goes great with the theme of my music video. She also has a very long hallway in her house which helps me establish the shots that adequately fit my music video.
