Waiting.....

     Hello again!!! Today is Tuesday and I am back for another production blog and I am waiting and waiting to film. I am extremely eager and I can't wait to one up my last production which was the commercial. I have been brain storming over and over in my head to jot down ideas about how I can go about filming this music video. I plan to film this weekend as it is pretty much the first free time I have had to be able to film with my other actors and filmer since before thanksgiving. Life had been slammed with school and it has been extremely stressful. I plan to film first on Friday at my girlfriends house and get all the shots I need from her room. Her room is girly and it goes great with the theme of my music video. She also has a very long hallway in her house which helps me establish the shots that adequately fit my music video. I have planned to bring all the props and costumes and I am quite sure it will go smoothly. After my filming on Friday I plan on concluding my filming on Saturday. I will use Saturday's filming to get any shots that I did not get yet. I can also improve on any shots that I did not like from Friday. Saturday I will also have all of the props and costumes necessary for the video shoot. I hope that I can get everything done that I need to get done. I want to take my time and be more professional with this than I was with the first video. I have more understanding of what good shots look like and how to apply the vocabulary into visuals. One other thing that I plan to keep a main focus on while filming is making sure that I sing along with the lyrics in the audio to make it feel more and more like a music video. I am excited to start filming later this week. I also am very eager to finish this video and see how much I just have improved from the pervious one. I will pick this back up after filming in the next blog.

 Hello again!!! Today is Monday and I am back for the first production blog of this project and I am very excited that I have completed my filming of the opening scene. This scene has begun by setting the tone for the horror film which will unfold scene by scene. With each passing day my momentum of filming gains traction and I am starting to get into a groove. With my opening scene I filmed it in my girlfriends room and played with lighting and other factors. I did not want it to be too bright as that would give too much of an energetic vibe and that is not the tone of the film at all. Instead of turning on the celing lights I used a lamp as it was moodier and not as in your face. Another tactic that I used was to add props to give a further meaning to the character in the film. My girlfriend has done an amazing job being the actor so far and I really enjoy being the filmer. Closing Time...

 Hello again, today is March 9th, and I am almost at the end of this project. My movie has really shaped up since the last blog which was my start to the editing process. I got some input from some fellow students and how their productions have turned out. And mine may not be the best but I am still happy with how it has turned out. This production from start to finish took over a month because Junior year has been really hard and I have been trying to juggle SAT and ACT prep while keeping up with my grades and all my other work / tests. It gets very busy. For this project, just like all my other productions, I used my iPhone to film. Using an iPhone is just so simple and easy. It has an integrated camera that shoots in 4k quality and to edit all I have to do is select the clips and transfer them. It is extremely simple and the most convenient way to do this.
