Busy Busy Busy

 So we came up with a plan and I think that it is pretty good. Zane, one of the members in our group concluded that instead of going to Kyle’s house to film our production. That we should instead go to jackson’s house as he has more room and more places to capture shots and scenes. As spring break is upon us some of our group is actually going out of town so that absolutely wiped our chances of filming over spring break which really upsets me. I kinda feel like we are falling behind be in reality we have plenty of time. I don’t plan on doing much over spring break though. I am not going on a trip anywhere so I will be home and in town. I plan to work and make some money helping my dad with certain things he does for his job. There is not really much that I can do for this project as the only steps left we have is to film and make blogs upon those experiences. I know that the filming process won’t be hard just long and may take a lot of attempts so I assume we may need a lot of time for that. I do not know if we will be filming during the day or night. I think night time would look the coolest for what we are going for and add affect to it. I also still do not know what exact day or time we will be filming. If the filming in the night is an option or possibility i say that we go for that. As the project progresses more and more I am very pleased with how well everyone has come together and worked as a team to tackle this task. I have found it a lot less stressful than working alone and I quite enjoy collaborating with my friends to do something that is not only seen as school work but as something fun and exciting. I don’t really have much more to say but I will see you after spring break with more updates and hopefully we are about to start filming or are filming. See you soon!!

 Hello again!!! Today is Monday and I am back for the first production blog of this project and I am very excited that I have completed my filming of the opening scene. This scene has begun by setting the tone for the horror film which will unfold scene by scene. With each passing day my momentum of filming gains traction and I am starting to get into a groove. With my opening scene I filmed it in my girlfriends room and played with lighting and other factors. I did not want it to be too bright as that would give too much of an energetic vibe and that is not the tone of the film at all. Instead of turning on the celing lights I used a lamp as it was moodier and not as in your face. Another tactic that I used was to add props to give a further meaning to the character in the film. My girlfriend has done an amazing job being the actor so far and I really enjoy being the filmer. Closing Time...

 Hello again, today is March 9th, and I am almost at the end of this project. My movie has really shaped up since the last blog which was my start to the editing process. I got some input from some fellow students and how their productions have turned out. And mine may not be the best but I am still happy with how it has turned out. This production from start to finish took over a month because Junior year has been really hard and I have been trying to juggle SAT and ACT prep while keeping up with my grades and all my other work / tests. It gets very busy. For this project, just like all my other productions, I used my iPhone to film. Using an iPhone is just so simple and easy. It has an integrated camera that shoots in 4k quality and to edit all I have to do is select the clips and transfer them. It is extremely simple and the most convenient way to do this.
