Push Back..

 Hi, friends! Today is Thursday, March 9th and I am back with another production blog. Today is a little weird because I haven't met with my group all week. I have been home most of the week because I have been sick. A lot of people around school have been getting sick recently and I do not know why. So with that said me and my group have not been able to meet with each other. We have everything ready and done, we just need time to film and get all of the shots we need. This can be really tricky because there are four of us and we all have different schedules because we all play different sports and are involved with different things. Which in a sense is a good thing but it makes it super tricky when it comes to planning a good filming day that works for everyone. So far what I do know is that we are likely filming at Kyle's because it is just easier. He has a car so he could take us all home from school and we cold film after school one day. Kyle's house is also like a central location between where we all live so that makes it very easy. I am sure everyone can agree on that. Another issue is next Friday marks the first day of spring break. This could be a good thing though if no one is going out of town. It gives us a whole week to meet without interuption and get all of our filming done. If I had to choose I think that filming over spring break would be the best choice. No distractions and full amounts of time. I love this group that I am working with and how good they are. I have really enjoyed this project and being able to research all the movies and genres. I find it really interesting and I can't wait to film and relay what I learned into my own production. Meet back soon!

 Hello again!!! Today is Monday and I am back for the first production blog of this project and I am very excited that I have completed my filming of the opening scene. This scene has begun by setting the tone for the horror film which will unfold scene by scene. With each passing day my momentum of filming gains traction and I am starting to get into a groove. With my opening scene I filmed it in my girlfriends room and played with lighting and other factors. I did not want it to be too bright as that would give too much of an energetic vibe and that is not the tone of the film at all. Instead of turning on the celing lights I used a lamp as it was moodier and not as in your face. Another tactic that I used was to add props to give a further meaning to the character in the film. My girlfriend has done an amazing job being the actor so far and I really enjoy being the filmer. Closing Time...

 Hello again, today is March 9th, and I am almost at the end of this project. My movie has really shaped up since the last blog which was my start to the editing process. I got some input from some fellow students and how their productions have turned out. And mine may not be the best but I am still happy with how it has turned out. This production from start to finish took over a month because Junior year has been really hard and I have been trying to juggle SAT and ACT prep while keeping up with my grades and all my other work / tests. It gets very busy. For this project, just like all my other productions, I used my iPhone to film. Using an iPhone is just so simple and easy. It has an integrated camera that shoots in 4k quality and to edit all I have to do is select the clips and transfer them. It is extremely simple and the most convenient way to do this.
